By the time Jessica was back on the Dauntless, she had heard about Sia. She wasted no time getting whatever information she could, and only a little bit of time before realizing she needed to get that to information out to Atton.

It’s Jessica. Call me ASAP. Sia took a lightsaber through the chest but is alive. She’s not really taking calls right now.

Yeah, that phone was ringing within five minutes.

Lightsaber to the chest?! That was his shtick!

“Hey, Atton,” Jessica said as she picked up. “She’s in a bacta tank. She’ll be fine once it does it’s... thing.” She had no idea what the hell the deal with bacta was.

"What in space happened?" Atton shot back. Bacta was clearly inferior to kolto, was what its thing was.

“Darth Wredd set up a big battle between us and all the Sith. At some point Sia left the ship to join the fight and Wredd got the drop on her,” Jessica explained. “I have no idea how she survived. I guess she’s just too stubborn to let some internal damage take her out.”

"Space," Atton snapped, along with a few less PG-13 curses. "Okay. Where is she now?"

“Some planet called Mala, but we’re en route to Coruscant,” Jessica said.

"Okay, I can be there in about twenty-four hours," Atton said, rubbing the back of his neck. "Are you okay? Sia said you'd been working this one for longer."

“Just the normal bumps and bruises you’d expect from a big crazy fight,” Jessica said. “The Knights I was with got most of the attention from the Sith I fought. And when they assume I’m just a trooper officer, that makes things a little easier for me.”

"Yeah, you'll have to brag about the heroic stories that probably came out of this... to someone else," Atton said. "I don't like it when my ego gets bruised by someone else's success."

He was moving quickly to arrange a portal while he talked.

"I don't know that there's anything particularly heroic about punching a guy in the back of his head when he's in the middle of a sword fight," Jessica suggested. "But it was successful."
