Mical had babbled up a storm about going to a site precious to our heritage, Atton, as if they hadn't picked up this whole Jedi thing (not that Atton was a Jedi) just a couple of months ago. Heritage. All Atton saw here was an abandoned planet with a broken hyperlane system that made it nigh-impossible for anyone who didn't have his amazing piloting skills to get here.

The trek from the Ebon Hawk to the nearby Jedi Ruins hadn't been a great deal of fun, either. It wasn't Malachor, with its Shadow Beasts and bitchy ancient Sith Lords lurking around every corner, but there had been Sith experiments on this planet once, and it was tangible in the air right alongside the Force signatures of thousands of Jedi long-dead.

"We're definitely not coming back here," Atton muttered as he lifted his hood. (Didn't like the stupid Jedi robes one bit, but they helped when you were stepping onto an unfamiliar planet with unpredictable weather.) "Barely got the Jedi Enclave working, and that's not nearly as run-down as this."

He wasn't talking to anyone in particular. He just had a feeling that if he didn't talk, he was going to lose his mind.

He spent the next couple of hours rooting through the rubble, trying to track down whatever knowledge had been left here in this. Uh. 'Temple of Knowledge'. Not a lot of points for originality, that was for sure, and there wasn't much here about apprentices or finding them or even teaching them either.

Great. He'd nearly run the Hawk into an asteroid field for nothing.

"A scavenger? Here?"

... wait, was that Twi'lek?

Atton looked up and-- yep, that was definitely Twi'lek. A Twi'lek, with green skin and just enough wrinkles around the eyes to show he was probably pretty old. "Oh, great," he said. "A squatter."

Except this was a squatter strong in the Force. A squatter who took one glance at his robes and the hilt on his belt and said, "No, a Jedi-- much like yourself." He gave Atton a thoughtful look. "My name is Deesra Luur Jada. I am -- or I was -- a Jedi chronicler."

In other words, yet another library fanatic. Fantastic. "Yeah?" Atton said. "Then I might know someone who wants to talk to you."

He glanced behind him at the storm raging outside. "If you know how to get us out of here, anyway."

Thankfully for everyone involved, Jada did.
